PUBLIC NOTICE

ATV/UTV USE ON STREETS IN CRAIG

The City of Craig is currently forming a working group to discuss the upcoming change in State Regulation allowing use of ATV/UTVs on streets with posted speed limits of 45 MPH or less.

This working group will include the Craig Mayor, Craig Administrator, Craig Police Chief, one or more Craig City Council Members, Craig EMS Coordinator, and 3 – 5 members of the general public appointed by the Mayor.

If you would like to volunteer to participate as a public member, please submit a short letter of interest in person to Craig City Hall; by mail to PO Box 725, Craig, Alaska  99921; or by email to cityclerk@craigak.com.  Letters of interest should be submitted no later than December 6, 2021. Public members should be residents of the Craig area.

Working group meetings will be posted and open to the public.  The purpose of the working group is to facilitate public discussion on the issue that will assist the Craig City Council on setting policy.
