Final Update : Propane Leak at Craig Aquatic Center & Pool Reopening Friday

Final Update: PROPANE LEAK AT CRAIG AQUATIC CENTER

On August 30, 2023 at approximately 10:20am, a propane leak was identified at the Craig Aquatic Center when the pressure valve failed. As of 4:30pm, August 31st Arrowhead remains on site and is removing the remaining vapors from the tank in preparation for an inspection and repair or replacement.

The Craig Aquatic Center will be reopened Friday and is being serviced by a smaller, temporary propane tank. All roads in the area are open as are the elementary and middle schools. All emergency vehicles and staff have fully demobilized.

There may still be some lingering propane odor in the immediate area due to the remaining vapors. If you smell propane, keep electronics turned off and avoid an open flame.
