Planning Commission

The Craig Planning Commission is composed of five public members who are appointed by the Mayor and ratified by the City Council.  The Planning Commission is staffed by the Craig City Planner.  Regular meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month.  The Planning Commission also sits and the Craig Platting Board for all platting actions within the city.

The Planning Commission is responsible for holding public hearings and making decisions or recommendations on a number of issues, including:

  • City of Craig Plans (comprehensive, hazard mitigation, development, etc.)
  • Making determinations on conditional use permits, plats, variances, and temporary use permits
  • Making recommendations to the Craig City Council on rezoning and land use ordinances
  • Acting as the board of appeals for administrative decisions made by the Craig City Planner.

Board members serve three year staggered terms.  Current commission members are:
