Officer Kenneth Nauska

Officer Nauska was shot and killed from an ambush while investigating a stabbing call. After checking on the victim, Officer Nauska began walking back to his patrol car. When he heard movement coming from a nearby bush, he turned and pointed his flashlight towards the sound. The suspect then opened fired with a shotgun, striking Officer Nauska. As Officer Nauska turned to retreat, the suspect opened fired again, striking him in the back.The suspect fled to the Ward Cove Cannery area and was found hiding under a nearby building several hours later. He was arrested and convicted of Murder.
